The European Asylum Support Office (EASO) has a few events scheduled for the months to come:
- 5 September: presentation of the Annual Activity Report 2012 and the Annual Report on the Situation of Asylum in the EU 2012, by Dr. Robert K. Visser (EASO Executive Director) at the European Parliament LIBE Committee (Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee).
- 5 and 6 September: kick-off meeting of the COI specialist network on Somalia. Attendance is on invitation. We wonder: who exactly is invited and on the basis of which specific selection criteria?

Strangely, there were two other meetings we had been informed of (on the 18 July, through our feed reader) which are now impossible to find in the Agency’s website:
- 26 and 27 September: kick-off meeting of the COI specialist network on Pakistan.
- 17 and 18 November: National Common Portal (the COI Portal, as we understand it) Administrators meeting.
Are these meetings taking place or not? Let us know if you know anything about these.
We would also like to inform you that a Practical Cooperation Workshop on the Russian Federation took place while we were away - on 17 and 18 July. Click here to read about it on EASO’s website.
The available information on this Workshop illustrates precisely what we mentioned in our previous post (under “Surveys launched”)... What exactly was this meeting about? Is there any outcome we can read?
