Article 24 of the EASO Regulation states that "the administrative and management structure of the Support Office shall comprise: (a) a Management Board; (b) an Executive Director and the staff of the Support Office."
The Director's specific duties are dispersed throughout the Regulation, with the Director at times being treated as an office manager and at others as a more central figure in the formulation and implementation of the Agency's priorities and operational profile.
But little is known of EASO's first Executive Director, Dr. Robert K. Visser. If you're interested in getting to know him, an interesting profile has just been published by freelance journalist Laurens Cerulus. You can find the full profile on Cerulus' blog.
Enjoy, and have a great weekend!
