Commission updates the Council on Greece, for tomorrow's meeting

We just received interesting updated information on the current situation in Greece.

It’s a follow-up note from the Commission, updating their March report on the situation in Greece.  You can see our EASO Monitor post on the March report here

The present note describes the state of play with regard to Greece's asylum reform, border management, return operations and general gaps that need to be addressed.  It seems that the general theme of this note, as of the March report, is one of recognition of process achieved so far coupled with concern at the remaining protection gaps.

This update note is being presented by the Commission to the EU MS in view of tomorrow's Council meeting.

For those following the Greek situation it should be interesting reading.
