Moldova and the EU (updated title)

In our earlier post we mentioned the rarity of coming across EU Member States comments relating to EASO.  Even rarer are such references in the context of the Eastern European MS, and more so in the case of Eastern European non-EU MS.

The most recent Notes Internacionals from Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB) analyse the case of European Union's home affairs cooperation with Moldova in the framework of the Eastern Partnership.  The analysis is carried out in conjunction with Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP).

The European Asylum Support Office is briefly mentioned as an example of the operational cooperation between the European Member States.

For more on the EU and Moldova check out the EU's External Action page on the country.

(Who is CIDOB?

"CIDOB promotes good global governance based on democratic practices at the local, national and supranational level in order to ensure people’s basic needs for freedom and a life without fear.  We encourage a plural dialogue that embraces all differences.

CIDOB is a dynamic team of analysts and documentalists who aim to offer political players – from ordinary citizens to international organisations – information and ideas that help to shape policies that promote a safer, freer and more just world for all.")
