Last week I participated in a seminar organised by the European Parliament Office in Greece, on Mediterranean migration and asylum. The seminar was one of a series of similar events organised by the three European Parliament Offices in Greece, Cyprus and Malta.
A number of presentations were delivered, mainly by European Parliamentarians and government officials, yet hardly any reference to EASO was made. In my presentation, the only NGO intervention on the agenda, I provided general information on EASO and its operations recommending the European Parliament to avoid the mistake it made with Frontex and instead ensure more effective monitoring of the Agency.
More information on the event, including my presentation, can be found on the aditus page.
We'd like to thank the European Parliament Offices for this opportunity.
