Eyes down for the June European Council

It seems that the June European Council will be dominated by talks on migration and asylum, particularly in relation to the current conflicts in North Africa and their migration/asylum impact on the southern EU MS.

In tracing the comments made by the European Council President Herman Van Rompuy during his working visits to Greece, Cyprus and Malta (already features here and here), euinside forecasts migration-centered discussions at the upcoming summit.

EASO was mentioned by Van Rompuy during his visits, and now that the plan for Greece has been finalised we’re all curious to see what the Agency’s next steps will be.

It seems that Malta could be next on the list...
